About Me

After learning that my son’s health was in jeopardy due to childhood obesity, my husband and I decided to be proactive and help him lose his excess weight. At the beginning of 2011, we started eating healthier and being more active (see my old blog here: http://chubzilla.blogspot.com/). We ended up losing, collectively, well over 160 pounds and we got our oldest son back into shape. Our seven-year-old now enjoys a normal BMI, healthy and nutritious meals, and a very active lifestyle (including his new thrill: running themed 5Ks).

In the fall of 2013, I lost my father due to a massive stroke (obesity-related) and I fell into depression and despair…and then into bigger jeans. I gained back 32.4 lbs. On May 14, 2014, I hopped off the Pity Train and back into the direction I need to go: healthy and downward in size. I brought this all on myself and now I have to lose 30+ lbs more than I did before.

“Three Boys and a Bikini” is now about losing added weight ALL OVER AGAIN (damn it) AND getting my cottage-cheese butt cheeks back into a bathing suit I purchased when I was super close to my goal weight. So…we’re kind of starting over here (sorry), but we’re gonna do it this time. Lessons learned. Onward and Downward.
